I love working with people most, but websites are a close(ish) second. A good website (and marketing plan) sits at the intersection of art and science, math and psychology. They are incredibly fun for me.

How much do your websites cost?
Most websites created by Pula Marketing cost between $5,000 and $30,000.

When developing a proposal, we’ll talk to you about your business goals and how you plan to use your site. We look closely at the current website and make a plan for the structure of a new site, and consider how to build it for the best user experience and busienss results. Since all websites are different, it’s difficult to standardize prices. However, your website will likely fall into these ranges:

Small – $5,000-$9,500: Small, simple website. Typically less than five pages and for a business with one easy-to-understand product. Might include: home, services, about, blog, contact pages. Price varies depending on how much design, brand strategy, and copywriting is needed. An example of a website in this range: whiteoakleadership.com.

Medium – $9,500-$14,500: Website redesign for an established business or a small ecommerce site. There are a lot of factors for websites in this range, and our goal is to make the process as simple and successful as possible. Most Pula websites fall in this range. An example is huffnpuffcleans.com or braintrainwin.com.

Large – $14,500+: Webstie for a business with a variety of products or a complicated offer. Some example sites are brookstoneschools.org, copialeadership.com, and nets-inc.com.

What platform/tools do you use for websites?

Our platform of choice (CMS) is WordPress. Here are a few reasons we love it:

  • WordPress is incredibly well-featured and can do almost anything.
  • It remains the top tool after decades of leading the CMS pack.
  • We love that we are able to give you a website you own completely. You won’t get stuck on a proprietary platform.
  • WordPress seamlessly integrates with most of the other tools you are using, so you can get the most out of both your website and your other tools.

On WordPress, we use the Divi builder and Divi theme.

  • It’s the top premium theme and built exceptionally well. We don’t need lots of plugins to get our sites to do what we want them to do, so we’re able to build clean, full-functioned websites.
  • The Divi builder allows you to easily edit any part of your website from the front-end.
  • All of our websites are fully mobile friendly. Changes automatically cascade to all screen sizes.

We also have experience in other builders and online systems, so feel free to ask if we can help you with something else.

What tools do you recommend for email marketing?

We’re initimately familiar with all kinds of email marketing software, from ConvertKit to MailChimp to Zoho Campaigns. The tool you should use depends on what you need. For simple funnels, we’ve enjoyed MailerLite the most.

Do you use AI?

We are in favor of using the best tools to get the best results for our clients. Therefore, we do use AI in our processes. As with any tool, we believe that AI should be used thoughtfully and carefully. If you ever have questions about the specific tools we use and in which parts of our processes, we are happy to share.

What does Pula mean?

Pula is Setswana for rain — synonnomous for life in a desert country like Botswana. It’s also the name of Botswana’s currency, and used as a powerful affirmation. When a crowd agrees with a speech, they shout “Pula” in unison.

I (Laura) am from America, but my husband is from Botswana. We lived in the beautiful Southern African country for six years. When we moved to the States and I became certified as a StoryBrand Certified Guide, I launched Pula Marketing. I love the simplicity and depth of the name.

How do you pronounce Phaladi?

Phaladi is a Setswana surname, and is pronounced pah-la-dee. But don’t worry, I won’t take it personally if you get it wrong!
